From Military Life to Mom Life – Our Simple, Wild, Beautiful Journey
Christmas: 2024
Hi there — I’m so glad you’re here.
I’m a medically retired military mama after 14 years of service, now navigating a totally different kind of mission: raising two incredible kids, building a simple home life, and redefining what it means to live with purpose.
My daughter is almost 8, curious and full of fire. My son is 4, wild and sweet. I homeschool them both, which is equal parts beautiful and chaotic — and somehow exactly where I’m meant to be.
We live with a pack of dogs, a crew of cats, a few feathery ducks, and some stubborn (but lovable) goats. There’s always something muddy, loud, or in need of food — and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
I’m drawn to slower living — homegrown food, homeschool rhythms, homemade sourdough, and learning to live with less but love more. I’m a lover of God, and I believe in building a life that reflects His grace, even in the messiest moments.
Our days are rarely perfect, but they’re deeply rooted in love, faith, and the kind of freedom that comes when you stop trying to meet everyone else’s expectations.
This space is for anyone who’s felt like the “normal path” just didn’t fit.
Here, you’ll find bits of our homeschool life, homestead adventures, real motherhood moments, and reminders that your version of simple gets to be enough.
Thanks for being here — I hope you feel at home.
With warmth,
Moriah
