Frequently Asked Questions

1. Do you follow a specific homeschool curriculum?

We take a flexible, child-led approach to homeschooling with a mix of curriculum, life learning, and hands-on experiences—especially from our homestead. Currently utilizing The Good and the Beautiful Homeschool curriculum, however, we tailor the lessons occasionally depending on where my child is. It is a good starting point & we absolutely love how flexible user friendly the curriculum is.

2. Are you a certified teacher?

Nope! Just a passionate mom committed to guiding my kids through learning and growth in a way that works best for our family. I am educated, I have an Associate of Science in Science, as well as a BS in Health Services Administration with a minor in business management.

3. Do you homeschool year-round?

Yes! We follow a year-round homeschool rhythm, which allows us to take breaks when life calls for it and avoid burnout.

4. Can I follow your meal plan or get a copy of it?

Yes! I share meal plans regularly on the blog, and you can find practical, budget-friendly family meals there—plus freezer/pantry-friendly ideas.

5. Do you grow all your own food?

We grow what we can in our garden and supplement with local or store-bought ingredients when needed. It’s about balance and doing what we can.

6. What’s a “scrunchy mom”?

It’s the in-between of crunchy and silky—organic when possible, realistic always. I love homemade, but I’m also okay with fast food on busy days.

7. Why don’t you post “first day of school” pictures?

Because we don’t follow a traditional school calendar and I believe presence matters more than performance. Our homeschool life is full of learning moments year-round.

8. Do you offer gift cards or digital downloads?

Yes! You’ll find gift cards and printable resources available in the shop—perfect for yourself or a fellow mama.
