“New Seasons, Same God”
September has a way of whispering change. The mornings are cooler, the days a touch shorter, and the world around us starts to shift into a different rhythm. For many families, it’s back-to-school buses and packed lunches. For us, it looks a little different — homeschooling means our mornings are slower, and meal prepping helps our days feel less hurried. There’s a sweetness in not rushing out the door, in letting the day unfold with its own steady pace.
Meanwhile, my garden is still alive with abundance. Fall harvest is in full swing — peas, okra, pumpkins, and even a few lingering tomatoes. It reminds me that while one season is “slowing down,” another can still be overflowing with life.
And through it all, God remains constant. Hebrews 13:8 reminds us, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” The same God who carried us through summer’s long days is the same God who walks with us now. His promises don’t change with the weather, and His love doesn’t fade with the calendar.
So as September settles in, whether your days feel busy or beautifully slow, hold on to this truth: God doesn’t shift with the seasons. He is steady. He is faithful. He is the same, always.
Take a deep breath, friend. Step into this season with confidence — not because you know what it holds, but because you know Who holds you.
