Week One Meal Planning Wrap-Up

Week one of meal planning is officially in the books — and honestly? I’m calling it a win.

Yes, a few things shifted around (life has a way of doing that), but the beautiful part is that we stayed within budget and didn’t have to make any extra grocery store runs. That alone feels like a huge victory.

The biggest change I’ve noticed this week is how much easier our days felt. No more staring into the fridge at 5 p.m. wondering what on earth we were going to eat. Instead, meals were already decided, ingredients were prepped, and I could be intentional about how we used our food. Instead of multiple loads of dishes, and cooking each day, one day was set aside for prep.

We also stayed mindful of our budget — using what we already had in the pantry, freezer, and fridge before buying more. It felt good to see things actually getting used instead of pushed to the back and forgotten.

Meal planning isn’t about perfection, it’s about progress. And this week, I saw firsthand how a little bit of prep and planning can create a whole lot of peace. Do you think I should write a “Meal planning Guide”

Here’s to carrying that momentum into week two!
