“When Life Feels Busy Again”
Even with homeschool and slower mornings, September still seems to bring a certain busyness with it. Gardens need tending, animals need feeding, lessons need planning, and the calendar starts filling with activities. It’s not the rushed, out-the-door kind of busy, but more of that steady hum that comes with managing home, kids, and everything in between.
And if we’re honest, sometimes that steady hum can feel a little overwhelming. Our to-do lists grow faster than we can check them off, and our energy doesn’t always keep pace with our responsibilities.
But here’s the good news: we don’t have to carry it all in our own strength. Philippians 4:6–7 says, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
God’s peace isn’t something we earn by finishing our list or getting it “all together.” His peace is a gift, available even in the middle of our busy days.
So, when the schedule feels full and the noise of life starts pressing in, pause. Breathe. Whisper a prayer. Invite Him into the middle of it. His peace will meet you there — steadying your heart, quieting your mind, and reminding you that you are never carrying the load alone.
